HitTail https://www.hittail.com/register is the first service to mine your own search data for underperforming long tail keywords.
HitTail provides suggestions that can help boost your positions in search results and therefore deliver more qualified visitors to your website. While we made it to provide topics to improve natural search efforts, you can also use these suggestions in a number of ways, including cost effective pay per click (PPC) campaigns, blog editorial calendars, and focused messaging for your website or email marketing.
How does it work?
HitTail provides you with 3 powerful tools that you can use to explore and manage keywords:
1. Keyword Ideas. This tool generates long tail keyword ideas based on your entered topic. All you need to do is to type a keyword phrase of 2-4 words and HitTail will generate long tail keyword variations of the entered phrase along with estimated search volumes.
You can use this tool to search for new keyword ideas regardless of whether your website already gets stable organic traffic or you’re starting a new website or blog.
The tool provides you with real long tail keywords used by prospects when searching Google for your topic.
2. My Hot Keywords. This tool analyzes your website traffic and outlines underperforming keywords that you can use to quickly improve your results in search engines. Consider such keywords as low-hanging fruits.
If you find a suggested hot keyword that you already target on your website, this might be because your website is not among Google’s Top 10 with this particular keyword yet, but you have a very good chance to get there. By getting into Google’s Top 10 with this keyword, you can increase organic search traffic multiple times compared to what the keyword brings you currently.
Just make sure to include the suggested keyword into Title tag, headers and throughout the text on the web-page where you target the keyword. The aim is to apply on-page optimization techniques to improve rankings of your web-page for that specific keyword.
If you find suggested hot keywords that you haven’t targeted yet, you can use them as topics to add new content to your site.
3. To Do List. When you find keywords that you’d like to target on your website, you can move them to your To Do list. This way you can build a keyword portfolio for your website by constantly adding new relevant keywords to the list.
In the To Do List you can mark keywords that you already target on your website and see what keywords yet need to be targeted. This will help you avoid targeting the same keywords on multiple web-pages, and hence, make sure there is no internal competition between your own web-pages.
